The One Chicago Star You Likely Missed In Stranger Things 4 Volume 1

After years of waiting, Netflix finally released the first batch of episodes from the highly anticipated Season 4 of "Stranger Things." Thankfully, Vol. 1 was worth the wait for fans to catch up with the Hawkins kids and the supernatural forces that torment them. The gang is now in high school and things are different. Will (Noah Schnapp) and Eleven (Millie Bobbie Brown) moved to Los Angeles after the "death" of Jim Hopper (David Harbour), leaving their friends behind in Hawkins to pick up the pieces. Thankfully, spring break brings about somewhat of a reunion that turns awry, thanks to the relentless nature of the Upside Down.

Without giving too much away, "Stranger Things" Season 4 is filled with new characters and creatures to match the ever-expanding universe. The dark and mysterious Victor Creel (portrayed by Robert Englund) may look familiar as the actor portrayed none other than Freddy Krueger from "A Nightmare on Elm Street." The show also featured new cast members like "Game of Thrones" star Tom Wlaschiha, who portrays the treasonous Russian prison guard Dmitri and "Booksmart" star Eduardo Franco as the perpetually-stoned Argyle (via IMDb). There is also one new character who is a familiar face for fans of NBC's "One Chicago" franchise.

A quick-thinking agent also embodied multiple One Chicago characters

One of the most memorable scenes from "Stranger Things" Season 4 is the insane shoot-out at the Byers house. Will, Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), and Mike (Finn Wolfhard) are being guarded by Agent Harmon and Agent Wallace. Unfortunately, Lt. Colonel Sullivan's soldiers find their hide-out and a massive shoot-out (that was filmed in one take) ensues. Agent Wallace is injured on the spot after mistaking the doorbell for Argyle with a pizza delivery. However, Harmon springs into action, taking down multiple men with his expert weapon yielding. He gets shot and succumbs to his wounds, but manages to help the boys escape and track down Eleven.

Agent Harmon might look familiar to fans of the "One Chicago" franchise as the actor, Ira Amyx, has portrayed several characters in the series. Most recently, he portrayed Pete Doyle in a 2022 episode of "Chicago Med." Pete comes into the hospital with a saw wound on his thigh after having a seizure. He is a patient who silently suffers from epilepsy and struggles to get adequate care.

Amyx also portrayed the shifty Gary Szyrski in the 2019 premiere "Inside These Walls" and the suspicious Richard Dolan in the 2015 episode of "Chicago P.D." (via IMDb).
