Hela Reigns Over New Thor: Ragnarok Trailer

Who would've guessed that Cate Blanchett would turn out to be Thor's most dangerous enemy?

We've already seen plenty of her character Hela, the Goddess of Death, in previous trailers for Thor: Ragnarok, but a new Chinese trailer offers us our best look yet. And she's definitely going to take Thor (Chris Hemsworth) for a ride (possibly through an inter-dimensional portal).

Blanchett told Entertainment Weekly that she had to do a lot of training for the intense action sequences on display. "I worked with the legend Zoe Bell," Blanchett said. "I did as much as was humanly possible for a middle-aged mother of four [Laughs]. I learned so much. All sorts of capoeira stuff. All the stunts and the fights were really interestingly choreographed. But I did train, ostensibly, so I wouldn't injure myself."

She also said that Hela is literally a walking weapon. "She's able to manifest weapons," explained Blanchett. "Her headdress can be weapons. "She can manifest weapons out of different parts of her body. I won't tell you which. I'll leave that hanging for a moment."
