Elden Ring: How To Get Erdtree's Favor
"Elden Ring" is creator Hidetaka Miyazaki's latest video game, and like his previous efforts, it offers up a difficult combat system without much hand-holding. Fortunately, the game offers up dozens and dozens of useful items that make the game easier. Problem is, it also doesn't offer much explanation about how they work or where to find them. We're here to help.
Talismans are magical tokens that provide powerful passive buffs, and they're essential for any build. Edtree's Favor is one of the most powerful Talismans in the game. It offers a buff to not one but three stats, without a corresponding debuff like some other Talismans have. Edtree's Favor increases your hitpoints by 3%, your Stamina by 6.75%, and your Equipment Load by 5%. Even better, there are two more powerful variants available. Erdtree's Favor +1 boosts HP by 3.5%, Stamina by 8.25%, and Equip Load by 6.5%. Erdree's Favor +2 boosts HP by 4%, Stamina by 9.6%, and Equip Load by 8%.
It's a handy Talisman for practically any build, but especially those that haven't emphasized Strength or Stamina, like most Sorcery users. Here's where to find all three versions in "Elden Ring."
The first Erdtree's Favor is found in early in the game
The basic Erdtree's Favor Talisman is found inside the Fringefolk Hero's Grave. You'll need two Stonesword Keys to access it. After unlocking the Imp Statue, drop down and run past the poisonous area. There, you'll find a Chariot trap. Use the alcoves to avoid the Chariot, but be careful of enemies who spawn in them.
Head down the first ramp, turn right, and come to the point where the ramp narrows into a walkway. Instead of continuing on the walkway, drop down to the lower ledge. Pass the two Imps and the Fire Trap into a larger chamber with two Grafted Scions hanging from the ceiling–if you're early in the game, it might be best to ignore them and sprint across the bridge. Once there, loot Erdtree's Favor from the corpse (via YouTube).
Erdtree's Favor + 1 is found around the midgame, after defeating Mohg, the Omen. It's found in Mohg's chamber, inside another treasure chest. The closest Site of Grace is the Forsaken Depths, beneath Leyndell, Royal Capital (via YouTube).
Erdtree's Favor +2 is found late game, in Leyndell, Ashen Capital. From the Forbidden Lands Site of Grace, turn around, head inside, and use the large lift to ride upwards. Then head west along the castle ramparts into the Capital Outskirts region. Pass the mounted knight and the soldiers to a second lift, which will take you downwards. At the bottom of the lift, turn right and head down the stairs to an area with three Lesser Ulcerated Tree Spirits. Hug the wall on the left if you want to avoid them.
