Twin Peaks Actor Jeremy Lindholm Arrested For Attempted Murder

Jeremy Lindholm, who appeared in one episode of Twin Peaks: The Return, has been arrested for attempted second degree murder after he allegedly beat a woman with a baseball bat.

According to a press release from the police department in Spokane, Wash. (via Entertainment Weekly), officers responded to a call from a Spokane business around 6PM on Wednesday (Aug. 16) for an alleged assault. The call said Lindholm, 41, was assaulting a woman with a bat, and when officers arrived, he fled through a back door with the weapon in hand. He "quickly gave up' when officers confronted him in an alley and was taken into custody.

Based on interviews with the victim and witnesses, police learned the incident was "domestic violence related." Surveillance cameras from inside the business also captured the "extremely violent assault." After watching the footage, police said they believed Lindholm had murderous intent. "There was information suggesting the intent of [Lindholm] was to kill the victim," according to the release.

The actor was placed in Spokane County Jail on charges of attempted murder second degree, second-degree assault, and several others, including assault of the victim's friend. He's being held on $100,000 bond. The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

Lindholm appeared in one scene of the "Part 6" episode of Showtime's Twin Peaks: The Return.
