Zoë Kravitz Toys With Danger In Gemini Trailer
In her newest, perhaps even coolest film project, Zoë Kravitz toes the line between playful danger and total terror, dishing up what appears to be a thrilling performance.
Film distributer Neon has released the trailer for Gemini, the Kravitz-led, South by Southwest-screened thriller that centers around a crime so heinous, it threatens to tear apart an already-complex relationship between an unyielding personal assistant and her A-list Hollywood starlet boss. As the tenacious right-hand woman begins to unravel the mystery at the heart of the narrative, she comes face to face with her own beliefs and understanding of celebrity status, friendship, and truth.
"You know how you were saying you don't feel safe? That's how I feel all the time," Kravitz' character says in the clip, which balances shots of lush California landscapes and the interior of a multi-million dollar mansion with glimpses of bloodshed and violence.
Joining Kravitz, known for her work in the post-apocalyptic action film Mad Max: Fury Road and the HBO mini-series Big Little Lies, are Scott Pilgrim vs. the World star Nelson Franklin and St. Vincent and Sisters actress Greta Lee. James Ransone of In a Valley of Violence and How to Make It in America and John Cho from the Star Trek franchise and Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle round out the cast.
Neon is set to distribute Gemini in theaters in the spring of 2018. Until then, check out the other movies we can't wait to see next year.
