The Curse Of Oak Island Actor You Likely Didn't Know Starred In The MCU

The Marvel Cinematic Universe and the hit reality television series "The Curse of Oak Island" have more in common than one might think. Besides sharing a surprisingly recognizable actor, both the MCU and the crew of "Oak Island" know what it's like to feverishly search for immensely valuable items that have the ability to change one's life. Where those in the MCU seek stones or magical artifacts that grant fantastic powers, the members of "Oak Island" seek a myriad of potential treasures (via History) — but unfortunately none of them have magic powers, unless they happen to find the Arc of the Covenant, or the boot they recently found turns out to have the ability to grant supernatural skills.

The MCU currently has 37 movies in its retinue, and has managed to rake in an astounding amount of money, with the current cumulative total around $26 billion (via The Numbers). Meanwhile, History's "The Curse of Oak Island" is currently in Season 9, and is one the highest rated reality television shows when it comes to viewership (via ShowBuzz Daily). As mentioned earlier, both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and "Oak Island" share an actor, but who, exactly?

Robert Clotworthy is the narrator on Oak Island and was also in some Marvel films

At first, fans of both properties may be wondering if one of the Lagina brothers appeared in the intergalactic prison in "Guardians of the Galaxy," or if they were present at the battle for Wakanda at the end of "Avengers: Infinity War," but it turns out the actor shared between both worlds is Robert Clotworthy. The name may not ring a bell, but his voice is what makes this actor immediately recognizable, as he is the narrator for "The Curse of Oak Island," and he utilizes his vocal talents in both "Captain America: Civil War" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" (via IMDb).

In "The Winter Soldier," Clotworthy is the voice of Nick Fury's car that aids him when he comes under attack during the insurrection of HYDRA Agents in SHIELD, while in "Civil War," he plays an unnamed role as a newscaster. Clotworthy has over 186 acting credits to his name, and has also done voice-over work as the narrator in "Ancient Aliens," the video game character James Raynor in "Heroes of the Storm" and "Starcraft 2," "Red Notice," and "The Curse of Civil War Gold" (via IMDb).

Perhaps Clotworthy can use his MCU connections and get Doctor Strange or SHIELD to help out with the search on Oak Island. Or, could it be (as Clotworthy would say) that the recently found boot is part of an ensemble with the Sorcerer Supreme's sentient cloak?
