The Daryl Scene In The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 10 That Has Fans Divided
Contains spoilers for "The Walking Dead" Season 11, Episode 10
Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) has been a main character on "The Walking Dead" since he appeared in the first episode back in 2010. From starting as a hunter with an attitude who only wanted to locate his brother, Merle (Michael Rooker), to becoming a hero among other survivors, Daryl is possibly the best character in the show that didn't initially appear in the comics.
Fast-forward to the latest episodes, and we see Daryl attempt to make a life inside the Commonwealth. Although he initially entered the Commonwealth with the intention to return to Alexandria once it's rebuilt, Judith (Cailey Fleming) and RJ (Antony Azor) express their desire to stay, so Daryl tries to make it work and adapt to a life with income and class division.
Not everything in the Commonwealth is as carefree as it seems, and characters that fans love to hate always have a place in "The Walking Dead." The latest addition to the list of anger-inducing characters is Sebastian Milton (Teo Rapp-Olsson), son of Commonwealth Governor Pamela Milton (Laila Robins). Sebastian is top-tier spoiled and willing to take down anyone who threatens his ego, and Daryl just so happens to be in his line of sight in Season 11, Episode 10, "New Haunts."
Fans can't decide whether or not Daryl should have saved Sebastian
After failing to work together with his partner in a military training exercise, Daryl Dixon is forced to pair up with polar opposite and fan least-favorite Sebastian Milton. It's clear that Sebastian somehow made it this far into an apocalyptic world with zero survival skills, so when a walker comes a hair from eating his brains out, Daryl calmly shoots it in the head with an arrow.
Sebastian's anger at Daryl for saving his life leads his superior, General Mercer (Michael James Shaw), to pull Daryl aside and tell him that was a bad move. This moment left fans divided on whether Daryl should have saved Sebastian or let the walker have him as a snack. So when AMC's "The Talking Dead" asked on Twitter if Daryl made the right call, answers were all over the board.
Some fans think Daryl should have stood idly by and let it play out. Twitter user @highspeedtrain4 simply said, "I think he should [have] let him get eaten," while @provokeq replied, "No, I wish he wouldn't [have] pulled the trigger so that Sebastian would die." It's clear Sebastian has a lot more hate than love from fans — very few seem to be on his side in this case. Even those who think Daryl did the right thing are only concerned about his well-being rather than Sebastian's. As @gwb1955 reminded us, "Yes, it would have been worse for him if the spoiled Sebastian had been bitten!"
So whether fans think Daryl made the right decision or the wrong one, one thing that they agree on is their disdain for Sebastian.
