American Gods and Orange Is the New Black star Pablo Schreiber has been cast in SkyscraperDeadline has confirmed.

Schreiber joins the 3D action flick from Legendary/Universal and writer-director Rawson Marshall Thurber, and will act alongside star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Skyscraper follows Johnson's former FBI agent Will Ford who now assesses skyscraper security. Following an overseas mission gone wrong, Ford is wrongfully framed for the destruction of the safest skyscraper ever built. Here's the full synopsis for Skyscraper: "Global icon Dwayne Johnson leads the cast of Legendary's Skyscraper as former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran Will Ford, who now assesses security for skyscrapers. On assignment in China he finds the tallest, safest building in the world suddenly ablaze, and he's been framed for it. A wanted man on the run, Will must find those responsible, clear his name and somehow rescue his family who is trapped inside the building... above the fire line. Written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (Central Intelligence, We're the Millers), the 3D action-thriller is produced by Beau Flynn (San Andreas, Baywatch), Johnson and Thurber. Skyscraper's executive producers are Dany Garcia (Baywatch, Ballers) and Hiram Garcia (San Andreas, Central Intelligence). Wendy Jacobson (San Andreas) is co-producer. The film will be released by Universal Pictures."

Schreiber also joins Ghost in the Shell star Chin Han and Scream alum Neve Campbell in unspecified roles. Though Schreiber has gained recognition for his work in dramas like American Gods, Den of Thieves, and Orange Is the New Black, in which he plays George "Pornstache" Mendez, he's also proved his acting chops in comedies like Big Bear and in the war thriller 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. Something tells us he'll do well in the upcoming action-packed Skyscraper.

Skyscraper, another film that will blow you away next year, is set for release on July 13, 2018.
