Why The Bird's Voice In The Flamin' Hot Super Bowl Ad Sounds Familiar

As sure as the sun will rise, you can always be confident that whenever there's a Super Bowl, a new commercial for Doritos and Cheetos won't be far behind. Frito-Lay knows what people want to see, and given the fact that millions of households worldwide probably eat chips during the Super Bowl, having a commercial to remind people of how delicious their snacks are just makes sense.

2022 certainly won't be any different, and ahead of the big game, the company has already released a commercial that's bound to delight fans of talking animals everywhere. It follows an explorer who drops their Flamin' Hot Cheetos and Doritos in the jungle. Some animals get their paws on the snacks, and once eaten, they begin beat-boxing before a cute, little birdie starts singing the lyrics to "Push It" by Salt-N-Pepa. In case you thought that bird sounded familiar, it's none other than one of the hottest rappers around right now — Megan Thee Stallion.

Megan Thee Stallion isn't the only famous voice in the Flamin' Hot ad

Megan Thee Stallion's inclusion in the commercial should be readily apparent, given at the end of the bird's song, it lets out the rapper's signature "Ahh" sound she makes in almost all of her songs. However, an ad this fun couldn't be confined to a single celebrity cameo. It may be a bit harder to spot, but if you've been keeping up with the trajectory of this commercial's release, you know Charlie Puth is the voice behind the beatboxing fox (via Rolling Stone).

Puth teased his involvement back in January when a teaser commercial came out featuring a live-action version of the singer, who enters his trailer only to find it covered in paw prints covered with Cheeto dust. It ends with him finding a red feather, which we now know came from Megan Thee Stallion's bird.

In an interview with Billboard, Megan Thee Stallion spoke about how her collaborating with Flamin' Hot Cheetos was a match made in heaven: "I am Miss Flamin' Hottie. I mean, I am all things hot. So I feel like it was very necessary for the Hot Cheeto and the Hot Girl to get together." As for the full commercial, you should expect it to air at some point during Super Bowl Sunday.
