New Marvel's Inhumans Trailer Shown At SDCC

Marvel has unveiled a new trailer for Inhumans, giving hopefuls another sneak peak at the highly anticipated superhero series.

The trailer was shown during San Diego Comic-Con, and came packed with fresh glimpses at the royal family of Attilan and a tease of how they landed upon Earth after a coup left their universe damaged and their relationships splintered.

"What if I told you there's a place where people have powers like us?" the half-alien, half-amphibian-looking character Triton (Mike Moh) asks off-camera. "The city of Attilan... I can take you there. We're Inhumans."

Triton is seen helping a young Inhuman named Crystal (Isabelle Cornish) escape the jungle, but the two must dodge wind, rain, and a flurry of bullets and bombs before finding ultimate safety. Thankfully, Crystal can control the elements, so an escape seems likely.

The clip then shifts to the drama and dysfunction of the family at the center of Inhumans, which is headed up by King Black Bolt (Anson Mount) and Queen Medusa (Serinda Swan), though Bolt's brother Maximus (Iwan Rheon) presents himself as a kind of pseudo-ruler in coming up with a plan to attack the humans.

Not long after Maximus reveals his desires to end mankind before it ends the Inhumans, others speculate that he's trying to take over Attilan. This claim establishes a basis of tension and conflict within the royal family, and begs the very question Rheon's Maximus asks in the trailer, "Will Black Bolt kill his only brother?"

Marvel's Inhumans also stars Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Ellen Woglom as Louise, Sonya Balmores as Auran, Ken Leung as Karnak, Henry Ian Cusick as Dr. Evan Declan, and Michael Buie as King Agon.

The first two episodes of Marvel's Inhumans will premiere in IMAX theaters beginning September 1, before moving to the small screen to air on ABC starting September 29. Until then, find out why the show will be much better than you think.
