What Yellowstone Fans Want To See Most From Season 5
"Yellowstone" is coming back for a fifth season, and many fans of the series seem to be in agreement about what they want to see from the show when it returns. Created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, the popular Paramount Network series follows the powerful Dutton family as its members try desperately to maintain their legacy and keep control of their Montana land.
The Western drama wrapped up its fourth season in early January on a surprisingly dark moment of victory for Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and her father, John (Kevin Costner). After coming dangerously close to being killed at the end of the show's third season, "Yellowstone" Season 4 focuses heavily on Beth, John, and the other attacked members of the Dutton family as they work to reclaim their previous positions of power. Unfortunately for Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley), John and Beth's journeys throughout the season also result in him being put in a difficult — to put it mildly — position, one that places him firmly under the control of his family.
While they still have plenty of time to think about what may come next for the Dutton family, fans of the Western series are already being vocal about what they want to see from "Yellowstone" Season 5 — and Jamie's relationship with Beth and John seems to be at the forefront of many viewers' minds right now.
Yellowstone fans want to see Jamie reconcile with his family
Shortly after "Yellowstone" was renewed for a fifth season, the series' central star, Kevin Costner, took to Instagram to share the news and to ask fans what they want to see happen in the show moving forward. "Yellowstone" fans, understandably, didn't let the opportunity pass them by, offering up plenty of different story ideas and requests in the comments section of Costner's Instagram post.
Based solely on their comments, it sounds like a lot of fans want Jamie's relationship with Beth, John, and the rest of the Duttons to reach a much more healthy place in "Yellowstone" Season 5. One user, for instance, responded to Costner's query by writing that they want to see "Beth & Jamie make peace" at some point in the show's next season. A different fan echoed that sentiment, commenting that they hope Wes Bentley's Jamie will be "exonerated by a life saving good deed towards the Dutton family," while another user wrote, "I'd like to see John and Beth forgive Jaimie [sic]."
Outside of Jamie's ongoing storyline with the other members of the Dutton family, one "Yellowstone" fan revealed that they simply want Costner's John Dutton "to find some happiness!" Elsewhere, another viewer similarly wrote that they hope John is able to "find love" in "Yellowstone" Season 5.
In other words, it seems like a lot of "Yellowstone" fans want things to get, at the very least, a little bit better for the Dutton family when the show returns. Of course, the series doesn't have a great track record when it comes to making things easy for the Duttons, so whether or not any of these fans' wishes actually come true in "Yellowstone" Season 5 remains to be seen.
