The Naruto Moment That Gave Fans The Goosebumps

True to its status as an action anime, "Naruto" has its fair share of epic moments. You never know when, in the middle of a losing battle, a character will pull out a new technique or summon their willpower with a rousing speech to turn the tide. To make the experience even better, the scale of these epic moments only increases with every episode. As Naruto and his friends become more powerful, the stakes of their battles increase in turn. In the beginning, Naruto might only be fighting to protect his friends. But by the end of the series, he's fighting to protect the world.

With hundreds of episodes, there are almost too many of these moments to count. Every battle and every conflict in the series needs to have those spine-chilling epic moments to work, and not every one of them is going to stand out. The ones that do, however, are among the most memorable moments in the series. At their best, the epic moments in "Naruto" have the potential to give fans goosebumps.

Gaara gives an inspiring speech at the star of a war

Fans first began sharing their thoughts on the most epic "Naruto" moments after Reddit user u/WannabeWeeb- started a thread on the topic. The original post itself gained over 2800 upvotes on the "Naruto" subreddit, and offers one of the more convincing contenders for epic moments in the series. In this case, it's the rousing speech that Gaara gives at the beginning of the Fourth Shinobi World War.

United against the Akatsuki terrorist organization, the different factions of shinobi from across the world begin to fight between themselves as age-old grudges resurface. As a former villain himself, Gaara (who now leads the Village Hidden by Sand, or Sunagakure, as Kazekage) reaffirms the Shinobi Alliance's unity, reminding them all how the Akatsuki have hurt every village individually, and are therefore the true enemy.

"Gaara during that speech was just on another level," wrote u/hulk2098. "He could have convinced the alliance to fight a god." Of course, with how long "Naruto" is, there isn't just one moment capable of making one's hair stand on end. There are a few other epic moments worth mentioning.

Naruto is chock-full of exciting, epic sequences

While Gaara's speech did garner major support as one of the most exciting moments in the series, it wasn't the only one fans pointed to. A common factor shared by almost all of the most memorable moments in the franchise, however, is that they come from the sequel series, "Naruto Shippuden." The most upvoted of the suggested moments was by far Naruto's heroic entrance during Pain's assault on Hidden Leaf Village, or Konohagakure.

"Every time I see Naruto's little summoning cloud from his entrance in that scene it brings me back" wrote u/TranseEnd. "Yeah when there's just smoke and Jiraya's theme starts and you know it's about to be seriously badass," replied another user, u/mouse_poon.

Of course, other moments made the list too. For instance, Madara Uchiha's rampage in the first battle of the Fourth Shinobi World War, the battle between Itachi and Sasuke, and even the moment when Minato stops Naruto from releasing Kurama, all ranked among the most popular answers. In the end, "Naruto" has so many spine-chilling, goosebump-giving moments that it's impossible to just pick one.
