Meet Patrick Stewart's Poop In New Emoji Movie Featurette

Patrick Stewart will be engaging in some bathroom humor in his upcoming film The Emoji Movie. A new featurette for the upcoming animated movie highlights Stewart's Poop Emoji, a classy but trashy character who is very proud of his heritage.

The featurette features the Poop Emoji making quite a few bathroom jokes, referencing his "duty" and chanting about how he's number two as he leaves a bathroom. It ends with a clip in which the Ice Cream Emoji makes a rather insensitive comment to his friend, leading the Poop Emoji to encourage him to finish (or maybe reconsider) his comment.

The Emoji Movie follows the emojis in the phone of Alex (Jake T. Austin), a young kid who's just trying to send a "meh" face to his girlfriend. However, what Alex doesn't know is all the craziness going on inside his phone, where emojis live with just one emotion, waiting to be called up to the big leagues. The film follows T.J. Miller's Gene, said Meh Emoji who has never fit in with his peers. Gene decides to find the phone's Source Code (with a little help, of course) so that he can learn more about his true self.

Stewart's addition to the cast as the Poop Emoji was a bit surprising, but the actor says that he is actually quite excited for the chance to play the character. "I got a call from my agents," he previously said while promoting his film Logan. "They said, 'Listen, something rather unusual has come up.' I met with the producers, and I was amused and charmed and very happy to take on this role."

The movie, which also stars James Corden, Anna Faris, Sofia Vergara, Jennifer Coolidge, Maya Rudolph, and Rob Riggle, is directed by Anthony Leondis (Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch) based on a script from Leondis, Mike White (School of Rock), and Eric Siegel (The Hard Times of RJ Berger). The film, one of the many that will blow you away this summer, is due out on Aug. 4.
