Captain America Explains Detention In New Spider-Man: Homecoming TV Spot

Apparently, in the MCU, if you get a detention, there's a handy dandy video of Captain America explaining to you what to do– or at least, that's what the newest TV spot for Spider-Man: Homecoming shows.

The spot begins with Ned (Jacob Batalon) figuring out his BFF Peter (Tom Holland) is actually secretly Spider-Man, causing him to drop and break his meticulously crafted Lego Death Star. He then begins peppering him with questions about his powers, offering up gems like "Do you lay eggs?" He eventually asks to try the suit on, which he seems to enjoy quite a bit.

However, all of the goofing off with Ned aside, Peter has other important things to worry about, saying that nothing will stop him from catching the Vulture (Michael Keaton). All of his Spidey duties, though, lead to distractions in school, which get him pulled aside by the principal (Kenneth Choi), who tells him that he's going to be stuck in detention. "So, you got detention," says a suited up Captain America in a VCR message to the small group of assembled students.

Robert Downey Jr., Jon Favreau, Marisa Tomei, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Bokeem Woodbine, Logan Marshall-Green, and Michael Chernus also star in Homecoming, which was directed by Jon Watts based on a script from Watts, John Francis Daley, Jonathan Goldstein, Christopher Ford, Chris McKenna, and Erik Sommers.
