How To Unlock Halo Infinite's Yoroi Armor During The Fractures: Tenrai Event

"Halo" developer 343 Industries surprised fans with an early release for "Halo Infinite" multiplayer in celebration of the series' 20th anniversary. In a Twitter announcement, it said that the Season 1 Battle Pass would start immediately on November 15 and that in-game events were on the way, starting with the Fracture: Tenrai event on November 22. However, some were also wondering how to claim the Yoroi armor core, a prized cosmetic advertised for the Fracture event.

The "Halo: The Masterchief Collection" introduced Fractures to incorporate cosmetics outside of the "Halo" world in a way that made sense in lore. The term "fracture" refers to a universal fracture, as if some kind of space-time hiccup spilled the atypical Spartan attire into the game. After all, those who know all about "Halo" lore know that Spartans typically don't wear Samurai armor like those in the Fracture: Tenrai ad. The Samurai skin featured in 343 Industries' announcement resembles a traditional Japanese shogun, complete with the iconic helmet and red robe of armor.

Here's how you can expect to unlock the Yoroi armor during the Fracture: Tenrai Event.

So where can I find Yoroi armor?

According to 343 Industries, the Fracture: Tenrai Event includes a limited-time Event Pass separate from the Battle Pass, playlist, and Samurai-themed rewards. That's where Yoroi armor comes in. It didn't mention how long the Fracture would last, but it will apparently return multiple times throughout the season alongside the Season 1 Battle Pass. The Fracture: Tenrai Event only lasts for a limited time, so interested parties should prioritize it.

The Yoroi Armor Core is an unlockable item in the Fracture: Tenrai Event Pass, but it's unclear how far players will need to progress to unlock it. It's the only confirmed cosmetic reward revealed so far, though it's likely that other Samurai-related cosmetics will be available. In short, fans need to participate in the Fracture: Tenrai Event enough to unlock the armor. 343 Industries promised more info after "Halo Infinite" fully releases.

"Halo Infinite," campaign and all, releases on December 8 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S — the date previously advertised for both the multiplayer and campaign. "Halo Infinite" multiplayer might be out as a "beta" version right now, but its campaign has yet to be released to the public. On the bright side, the multiplayer has received positive reviews all around. Even Dr Disrespect reversed course on the concerns he previously aired out on stream.
