The Character You Forgot Charisma Carpenter Played On Chicago P.D.

As part of the "One Chicago" franchise, "Chicago P.D." often features characters from "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago Med." The NBC police procedural has also seen various guest stars come and go over the years — including the detectives from "Law & Order: SVU."

Notably, Season 3 of "Chicago P.D." featured several recognizable special guests, including Carl Weathers ("Rocky"), Clancy Brown ("Highlander"), and James McDaniel ("NYPD Blue"). The season also saw Charisma Carpenter appear in a recurring role. The actress is best known for portraying mean girl Cordelia Chase on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and its spin-off, "Angel."

Additionally, Carpenter has had recurring roles on the witchy fantasy series "Charmed" and the Kristen Bell-led detective show "Veronica Mars" (via IMDb). She's made one-off appearances on dozens of other shows as well, such as "Supernatural," "Scream Queens," and "Lucifer." Most recently, she voiced the character Scarlett Ravenswood on the thriller podcast series, "The Burned Photo."

But fans may have forgotten who Carpented played on "Chicago P.D."

Charisma Carpenter had a recurring role in Chicago P.D. Season 3

In Season 3 of "Chicago P.D.," Charisma Carpenter plays Brianna Logan, who appears in just two episodes, titled "A Night Owl" and "Forty-Caliber Bread Crumb." When we meet her in the series, her character, who was previously a lawyer, now owns a medical marijuana dispensary that has become the target of an unknown assailant. Seeking to protect her business, Brianna hires a number of security guards, including Detective Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer).

What begins as an off-duty job for Halstead quickly escalates when he and a coworker are attacked while transferring money to Brianna's bank. The "Chicago P.D." squad investigates the fatal shooting, believing local gangs to be behind the crime, given the fact that they'd previously threatened Brianna for interfering with their drug dealings. However, the attack turns out to be more calculated and personal than anyone realizes. In addition to the tense investigation, Brianna also tries to woo Halstead, who declines her advances.

By the end of her storyline, Brianna's business is once again safe, and Halstead has walked away from the security job.
