New Alien: Covenant Clip Teases The Spineburster
There's a new Alien: Covenant clip, and it's pretty darn disgusting.
Titled "Let Me Out," the video is 30 seconds of skin-tingling terror that promises the return of the Xenomorphs and teases the deadly Spineburster.
The clip shows Faris (Amy Seimetz) bounding down a hallway and then pressing her face against a tiny glass window. Karine (Carmen Ejogo), who is trapped with an infected crew member, pleads for Faris to let her out, but Faris resists to keep the infection from spreading. Faris looks on as the crew member seizes on the table, his spine ripping itself away from his body. This is, of course, the work of an alien eating its way through his vertebrae. (Gross, we know.) The video ends with a visceral sound effect sure to make any viewer wince.
Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, James Franco, and Danny McBride. Here's the official synopsis: "Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created with Alien: Covenant, a new chapter in his groundbreaking Alien franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape."
Alien: Covenant is set for release on May 19. In the meantime, find out why the upcoming flick is going to be better than you think. (Trust us on this one.)
