Kurt Russell, Sylvester Stallone May Appear In More Marvel Movies After Guardians Vol. 2

Not only will fans see plenty of action-packed adventures and one smaller-than-usual Guardian in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, they'll also see Tango and Cash actors Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone on the screen together again. And director James Gunn told Fandango that it won't be the last time they appear in the MCU.

Russell plays Ego the Living Planet, the father of Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), and Stallone plays a character who has yet to be revealed. But Gunn enjoys the dynamic duo so much, he said they'll stick around the Marvel movie universe. "This is definitely not a one-off [for them]," Gunn explained. "They're both characters that we've taken a lot of time to develop, and they're a big part of the MCU now."

We don't know if Russell and Stallone will share any scenes together, but it definitely sounds like they both play important characters. Some have speculated that Stollone will either portray a Nova Corps member or an eventual member of the Guardians. Of course, this is just chatter for the time being.

We'll see Russell and Stallone at work when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 5. In the meantime, watch the latest teaser and add some of the best Guardians of the Galaxy comics to your reading list.
