Power Rangers Behind The Scenes Clip Unveiled

We're getting dangerously close to morphin' time, and the minds behind the upcoming Power Rangers film have teased us with another sneak peek just days before the movie hits theaters.

Today, Lionsgate released footage from behind the scenes, showing off the revamped fab five Rangers in bad guy-defeating action, including the massive Puttie battle. However, the villains are a bit less intimidating in the video, as they're shown without the fancy CG add-ons and donning green jumpsuits.

Bryan Cranston, who plays Zordon in the film, is also shown in the clip discussing where the franchise is headed with this new installment. "The difference between the series of Power Rangers and the movie is significant," Cranston explained. "We had to pay homage to it and yet reinvent a new way of expressing itself."

Rita Repulsa actress Elizabeth Banks added: "This movie's really incredible, and there a lot of nods to all the big mythology from the series, and the action is amazing."

And even a Ranger himself chimed in to talk what the Power Rangers series means to him. RJ Cyler, the actor behind the Blue Ranger, stated that he used to "dream about being a Power Ranger" and has "been practicing [to be one for] the last 18 years." Considering his fantasy became reality, it's easy to see why he claims "the adrenaline push that Power Rangers gives you is in this movie tenfold."

Check out the clip below:Here's the film's official synopsis: "Saban's Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove—and the world—is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late."

Power Rangers will be released March 24. Though the film is only a few days away, there's still plenty of time to brush up on what it really takes to be a mighty-morphin' superhero.
