Patrick Stewart Says He Would Play Professor X On Legion
Contains potential spoilers for Logan and Legion
We may not have seen the last of Charles Xavier.
While Logan brings a certain sense of closure to the iconic X-Men character, actor Patrick Stewart has already said he's open to the idea of appearing in a Deadpool sequel. And now he's revealed that we could possibly see Professor X on the small screen, too.
During an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden alongside Legion star Dan Stevens, Stewart said he "absolutely" is "100 percent" interested in reprising the role of Xavier for the FX series. In the comics, Xavier is Legion's biological father.
Although the show's creator Noah Hawley has said the show won't feature any of the characters from the X-Men movie franchise, producer Bryan Singer did confirm that Legion takes place in the same universe.
The first season of the series wrapped production long ago and it's worth noting that it hasn't been renewed for a second season yet. But the question of Legion's parentage would likely need to be explored if the show continues, and Stewart would be the ultimate guest star.
Meanwhile, check out the untold truth of Legion.
