Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Director Shares Adorable Cast Photos

Think nothing in this world could ever be as cute than Baby Groot? Well, think again. James Gunn has outdone himself, taking to Instagram to share new photos of the Guardians of the Galaxy cast that will have you audibly "aww"ing.

Buzz around Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has been at an all-time high, especially considering last night's full trailer debut, one packed to the brim with stellar space action, a candy-eating Baby Groot, butt kicking galore, and a full-bearded Kurt Russell as Papa Star-Lord himself, Ego the Living Planet. James Gunn, the man in the directorial seat for the upcoming sequel, sent the hype train into overdrive with not one but two exclusive pictures.

On his Instagram account, Gunn posted a photo of himself alongside Michael Rooker (Yondu Udonta), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), and Chris Pratt (Star-Lord) holding over their own heads blown-up emoji versions of their on-screen characters' faces. (Well, except for Gunn. The director simply got the 'toon treatment since he sticks to staying behind the camera.) Gunn accompanied the pic with an equally cute caption: "Who be this?"

The follow-up photo revealed the not-so-secret identities behind the massive animated masks. "Oh that who," Gunn responded in a second caption. While Pratt and Gunn look steely-faced and serious, it seems Saldana and Rooker are stifling laughter in the photo. We have a feeling Star-Lord himself must've cracked a joke before the camera shuttered. In the background of this extra cast photo, fans have noticed a Mantis emoji face resting near a Guardians promotional poster. Perhaps it was Pom Klementieff, the actress who plays Mantis, taking these cast photos? Take a look below:

Oh that who.
