Keanu Reeves Open To The Matrix 4
We may not have seen the last of Neo after all. (Of course, he may not be able to see us.)
Every time Keanu Reeves puts out a new action flick, like John Wick: Chapter 2, he typically faces a barrage of questions about a possible return to The Matrix, despite the presumed death of Neo at the end of The Matrix Revolutions. But Reeves recently told Yahoo! Movies that he's game–as long as the conditions are right.
"The Wachowskis would have to be involved. They would have to write it and direct it," he said. "And then we'd see what the story is. But, yeah, I dunno, that'd be weird... but why not? People die, stories don't, people in stories don't."
Although Neo sacrificed himself to bring an end to the war between machines and man, the Oracle did indicate that Neo could return someday. And when you consider the adaptable nature of the Matrix universe, it wouldn't be all that shocking to see a Neo 2.0.
The Wachowski's haven't directed a film since the 2015 box office bomb Jupiter Ascending, so they could be primed for a comeback to their most popular franchise. But there's been no word on that front as of yet.
In the meantime, take a look at some easter eggs you probably missed in The Matrix.
