Anne Hathaway Stars In Monstrous New Colossal Trailer

Anne Hathaway makes accidentally destroying the world look like a whole lot of fun in the new trailer for Colossal.

In the film, Hathaway stars as Gloria, a down on her luck woman who realizes that she is somehow inadvertently controlling a giant Kaiju currently wreaking havoc on Seoul. While the first trailer focused mostly on the horror Gloria feels due to the damage she is causing, the new footage highlights the funny side of the upcoming thriller.

In the trailer, Hathaway tries to decode her connection to the monster by watching it imitate her gestures (including the hilarious dance scene shown in the first trailer), and then appears to begin executing an action-packed plan to deal with the problem.

Hathaway is backed up by a number of funny faces, most notably former Saturday Night Live star Jason Sudeikis, who plays Gloria's confidante Oscar. Holes' Tim Blake Nelson, Whiplash's Austin Stowell, and Beauty and the Beast's Dan Stevens also star. The film was written and directed by Timecrimes' Nacho Vigalondo.
