Transformers: The Last Knight Super Bowl Ad Revealed
While there's no guarantee that the Falcons and Patriots will put on an epic battle on Super Bowl Sunday, it's pretty clear that Optimus Prime and Bumblebee will.
Paramount rolled out the extended version of the Super Bowl commercial for Transformers: The Last Knight, and it looks like we're in store for the biggest, moodiest installment in the franchise yet.
The flick is the first in the series since the studio decided to turn Transformers into an expanded world, reminiscent of the Marvel cinematic universe. And the new spot reveals that something dark has gotten into Optimus as he turns against his Autobot brethren. We'll probably find out more when the extended commercial airs on Sunday.
Meanwhile, director Michael Bay said on his website that The Last Knight might very well be his last entry in the franchise (although, as he points out, he's said that before).
"It's bittersweet for me. With every Transformers film, I've said it would be my last. I see the 120 million fans around the world who see these movies, the huge theme park lines to the ride and the amazing Make- A-Wish kids who visit my sets, and it somehow keeps drawing me back. I love doing these movies. This film was especially fun to shoot. But, this time might really be it. So I'm blowing this one out."
Transformers: The Last Knight will land in theaters June 23. It's one of the movies we can't wait to see in 2017.
