Ghost In The Shell Superbowl Ad Revealed
While everyone else is contemplating whether it will be the Patriots or Falcons who come out on top on Super Bowl Sunday, you can prepare yourself ahead of time for the other big question that will inevitably arise: "Woah, was Scarlett Johansson just naked in that commercial for Ghost in the Shell?" (The answer is no, but it's kind of complicated.)
Paramount has unveiled the "Big Game" spot for the upcoming live-action adaptation of the classic manga, and although it mostly includes footage from previously released trailers, it's still a fast-paced visual treat.
We get a look at Johansson as Major Motoko Kusanagi, an automaton programmed to stop a technological threat from taking over futuristic Japan. She wears a skintight, thermoptic bodysuit that allows her to become invisible (that's why she looks kind of nude).
Ghost in the Shell was directed by Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) also features Michael Pitt, Juliette Binoche, and Takeshi Kitano. It lands in theaters March 31, and it's one of the flicks we're really looking forward to in 2017.
