The Extended Nintendo Switch Super Bowl Ad Is A Ton Of Fun

Super Bowl 51 is just a few days away, companies have started rolling out first looks at their gameday commercials, and one in particular has a ton of people buzzing: Nintendo Switch's extended-cut ad. Posted on the official Nintendo YouTube channel, the advertisement shows off the highly-anticipated console in all its glory.

Included in the ad, whose footage rolls over the Imagine Dragons track "Believer," are nearly all the Switch's launch titles, including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2, Ultra Street Fighter, and the super goofy knock-em-out game ARMS. By the looks of it, Nintendo aimed to highlight the forthcoming console's hybridity, which should further entice Nintendo believers and maybe hook in gamers who were on the fence. The ad shows how simple it is to transition from on-the-go play to couch-potato Zelda sessions to high-energy game battles amidst a riotous house party. It even features gameplay in a college lecture hall and at a laundromat—talk about versatile!

Given how excited gamers are for the latest Nintendo product release and how promising the console sounds (Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime has predicted the Switch will outperform the Wii U), the extended cut of the ad seems like the icing on an already amazing-looking cake.
