James Gunn Gives Fans First Listen To Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Score
James Gunn just gave fans their first listen to the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 score, and it sounds epic.
Gunn, who directed the first film and the upcoming sequel, previewed the score on his Facebook page early Wednesday morning via a live video from the Abbey Road recording studio in London. The score was written by Tyler Bates, who also did the score for the first movie.
Vol. 2 will reunite Guardians Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel, alongside Karen Gillan, Kurt Russell, Glenn Close and Michael Rooker.
The official synopsis for the sequel reads, "Set to the backdrop of 'Awesome Mixtape #2,' Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team's adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill's true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes' aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand."
You can listen to the preview of the beautiful (and dramatic) score below.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is due out on May 5, 2017. While we wait, check out all of the hidden details that you may have missed in the film's trailer.
