Nintendo Switch Memory Can Be Expanded Up To 2TB

The Nintendo Switch will support all Micro SDXC memory cards, even those that can hold up to 2 TB.

Nintendo confirmed the Switch's expandable memory support with Game Informer, saying "Switch is compatible with the SDXC standard, which supports up to 2 TB. (Note that 2 TB cards are not yet on the market, but the system will support them when they are.)"

The Switch itself will ship with 32GB of on-board storage, so the need to expand its memory probably won't be an issue for some time, unless your primary method of obtaining games is through downloading them from the eShop. And because the Switch doesn't require you to install games the way the PlayStation 4 and Xbox do, you should have plenty of memory to spare. Considering the lineup of releases this year, we wouldn't recommend the download-only route anyway.
