Don't Watch The New Trailer For The Lemony Snicket Netflix Series

Netflix insists that you watch something other than the new trailer for the upcoming Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. It's simply too dreadful to endure.

But if you're brave enough to click above, you'll get a good glimpse at a lot of previously unseen footage from the series (which actually looks pretty amazing).

Neil Patrick Harris stars as Count Olaf, the evil guardian of the Baudelaire orphans: Violet, Klaus (Louis Hynes), and Sunny (Malina Weissman).

If you never read the books by fictional author Lemony Snicket (played by Patrick Warburton) and you didn't see the 2004 movie starring Jim Carrey, the Baudelaire kids lost their parents in a mysterious fire, and now Olaf will stop at nothing to gain access to their inheritance.

The Netflix original production will span eight episodes, and it's executive produced by Barry Sonnenfeld, one of the producers of the movie version. The series will premiere Jan. 13, 2017.
