New Star Wars: Rogue One TV Spot Centers On Jyn Erso And Her Dad

If there's one thing that's certain about the Star Wars galaxy, it's that daddy issues always come into play.

As we get closer to the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, it seems like new TV spots are coming out every day. And one of the new ones puts the spotlight on Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) and her father Galen Erso (Mads Mikkelsen).

If you've been keeping up with all the trailers, you're probably familiar with the story by now. But if you haven't, the new clip provides a quick recap of the Erso family backstory (that we know so far).

Jyn and her dad were last in touch 15 years prior to the main storyline of Rogue One, although we do get glimpses of her childhood through flashbacks. Galen was recruited by the Empire (probably against his will) to help build the Death Star. But that's news to Jyn, who joins the Rebels to stop the destruction and bring her father back. However, seeing as how things typically work out for families in Star Wars, we're not all that optimistic about it.

We'll have to wait to find out when Rogue One hits theaters Dec. 16. Meanwhile, check out new details about Darth Vader in the movie.
