How To Perform The Noble Sacrifice Cheat In Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World

Ubisoft re-released the classic 16-bit beat-'em-up side-scroller Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game on Jan. 14, 2021, finally allowing fans to play the 2010 title again after it had been unavailable since 2014. The release is the complete edition, a package that includes the original version of the game, as well as the Knives Chau Add-On Pack and Online Multiplayer + Wallace Pack DLCs. The complete edition is available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Google Stadia. It's almost entirely the same game as before, including all the alternate endings, but there are small differences.

The original game included lots of fun cheat codes, and while publisher Ubisoft brought most of them back as-is, one cheat code is slightly changed. The "Noble Sacrifice" cheat sacrifices one of the player characters in exchange for $50 of in-game currency. Since money has lots of uses in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game, this exploit will definitely come in handy.

How to perform the "Noble Sacrifice" cheat

Noble Sacrifice is the only Scott Pilgrim cheat entered during gameplay. To enter the code, hold down jump and then hit Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Block. In other words, on PlayStation, hold X and then hit Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Circle. On Xbox One, hold A and then hit Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B. On Switch, hold B and then hit Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left Right, A.

The Washington Post reported that the codes work with equivalent buttons on all platforms, but publisher Ubisoft has yet to confirm whether Noble Sacrifice works on PC and Stadia.

Noble Sacrifice costs one life, which makes it only somewhat useful for solo players. But the code also works in co-op mode. Since cooperative players can revive each other without costing a one-up, Noble Sacrifice gives co-op players unlimited funds. That will make it much easier to pay off Scott's $500 late fee at the No Account Video Store, which unlocks permanent stat boosts. Since every co-op player has to pay off the fee separately, Noble Sacrifice is a huge time-saver.
