How Long Does It Take To Beat Immortals: Fenyx Rising?

Immortals: Fenyx Rising is the second of 2020's Zelda clones, and like Genshin Impact before it, Fenyx Rising has charged through the flames of controversy and has risen like a ... phoenix. The expected Breath of the Wild comparisons are abundant, but derivativeness and quality are two separate measures. Critics have been mostly positive and enjoyed their time in Fenyx Rising. Given Ubisoft's love of expansive and lengthy games, the matter of time is an important factor.

Fenyx Rising will be the third big open world Ubisoft game to launch this year, the other two being Assassin's Creed: Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion. Their campaigns have lasted gamers between 40-45 hours and 15-25 hours, respectively, while completionist runs have stretched out lengths to 120 hours and infinity, again respectively (it's technically impossible to complete Legion because of an infinite number of randomly generated recruitable NPCs).

So, as an open world with Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild trimmings, where does Immortals: Fenyx Rising sit in the overall length spectrum? Keep reading to find out.

Completing the game isn't quite Herakles' thirteenth lost labor ... yet

At first glance, Immortals: Fenyx Rising looks as daunting as a staring contest with Medusa. You have a large world to explore, and you will find a new activity, treasure chest, or collectible resource every five minutes. But, the game is shorter than standard Ubisoft affairs. That's a boon, mind you.

Since Fenyx Rising is an open world title, you can blast through the campaign with the speed of Hermes, play the tourist and see everything the game world has to offer, or mix the two. If you are only interested in the story (narrated by Prometheus and a constantly-interrupting Zeus), expect around 25 hours' worth of content, although some reviews estimate closer to 20 or 30 hours. However, if you want to stop and smell the ambrosia — and pound it into health upgrades — Fenyx Rising should take 40 or even 50 hours.

Of course, these estimates only apply to the base game. Ubisoft is hard at work producing DLC, each with its own distinct flavor and story. While Immortals: Fenyx Rising will be relatively small at launch, it won't stay that way.
