What The Boys Fans Are Scanning Scenes For In Rewatches

Season 2 of The Boys may be over, but that isn't stopping fans from raking through every last second of footage with a fine-toothed comb.

One of the great things about the show is that the creators and writers obviously pay a lot of attention to the smaller details — and if you go back and rewatch seasons 1 and 2 of The Boys, knowing everything that happens, you may pick up on key details you missed the first time around.

For example, season 1 has a scene in which the Seven member A-Train (Jessie T. Usher) confronts the Boys' Hughie (Jack Quaid). While it originally seems like Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) comes out of nowhere to save the day, you can see in the background that she actually comes out of a vent. Another fun little detail along the same lines comes up on season 2, when a character who's sometimes hard to spot makes a surprise appearance before making himself known. It's the kind of detail that makes fans wonder if there are similar moments hidden throughout the series.

Here's what The Boys fans are now looking for during their rewatches.

Fans are rewatching The Boys to see if A-Train can be spotted anywhere else

On Reddit, user u/MrFlow shared a brief clip from The Boys that showcases a fun Easter egg regarding A-Train. In the scene, we see Stan Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito) meet with Alastair Adana (Goran Višnjić). When a server brings out two cans of Fresca (the beverage of choice for the Church of the Collective), you briefly see the napkins on the tray flutter in the air, momentarily accompanied by a "whoosh" sound.

It may just seem like the air conditioning is on a little too high in Adana's household, but as we soon see, A-Train is also in the room. The napkins moving were a result of him speeding into the room, and fans seem to have picked up on the minute detail. Redditor u/BetrayedByTheGame noted how this is one of the most interesting aspects of the show, stating, "Cool little details like this make me go back and watch every episode a couple times. See what I missed the first time around."

The moment also brings up a vital question about A-Train's power set. In this scene, we see how he's fast enough to enter a room without being seen. Therefore, is it possible he's in other scenes that fans just didn't notice the first time around? It's certainly possible, and makes a rewatch worthwhile just to see what happens.

Even in the scene itself, it appears as though fans aren't the only ones who caught on to A-Train. As Redditor u/jmcarter1 pointed out, "I think Edgar noticed and that's why he made a point of mentioning the archive records. He wanted A-train to out Storm front." A-Train may be fast, but he's not completely invisible, as evidenced by the sound he makes when running at super-speeds and the slight movements in objects around him, like the napkins. While this may not make him the stealthiest Supe around, it makes it easier for fans to pick up on any hints he's in the room even if you can't see him.

Fans may have to wait a little bit until season 3 of The Boys is released, but thankfully, there's plenty of content already out there for anyone wanting to see bloody, vulgar superhero action.
