You Can Hunt A Vampire In Red Dead Redemption 2. Here's How

Red Dead Redemption 2 changed gaming in many ways, presenting a realistic, grounded take on the life of an outlaw. Red Dead Redemption 2 also contains some incredible Easter eggs that continue to surprise even the most devoted fans. What you may not realize, however, is that there are supernatural forces at work in the world of Red Dead Redemption 2

The Red Dead Redemption series features a few mysteries that are still unsolved, like the true identity of the Strange Man in black who appears in both games. However, there is one sinister presence that doesn't reveal itself until the player does a little bit of digging. Believe it or not, there's a vampire stalking the streets of Saint Denis. This creature of the night has been killing people throughout the city and leaving graffiti at the scenes of his crimes.

With a little bit of patience and a lot of courage, Arthur Morgan can hunt this wicked bloodsucker down. Here's how you do it.

Tracking the vampire

Before the Vampire will properly reveal himself, the player must track down five bits of graffiti in the city of Saint Denis. Each of these pieces of writing feature warnings of violence and flowery (but morbid) poetry. Arthur will record these scrawlings in his journal, making a note of the location. The graffiti can be found written outside the general store, in an alley near the Fontana Theatre, outside of the archways near the trapper, in the alley behind the gunsmith's shop, and on the building just south of Doyle's Tavern.

After finding and noting all of these locations, a marker will appear on your map revealing the location of the vampire. You'll come across him drinking blood from the neck of a fresh victim. With his pale skin and pointy ears, the Vampire of Saint Denis has an appearance reminiscent of Count Orlok from Nosferatu. The vampire will attack Arthur Morgan and can kill him in a single hit, so be careful when you approach the creature. If you manage to come out of the battle unscathed, you'll be rewarded with the rare Ornate Dagger.

Happy hunting, partner.
