New Mandalorian Season 2 Character Art Will Have You Stoked

With only a few weeks to go before The Mandalorian returns to our screens through steaming service Disney+, Star Wars fans are hungry for any teases they can about the story to come. During season 1 of The Mandalorian we saw the lengths to which Mando (Pedro Pascal) would go in order to protect the Child — aka Baby Yoda — and we saw how depraved the villains who would harm both this hero and his charge truly are.

Last season ended on a lot of incredibly important notes: Mando's new mission is to find the Child's home, but we don't know if there's a home left to find. Even though we finally found out last season that Mando's real name  is Din Djarin, and even though we even saw his face, there's still a load of mystery behind his origins, too.

As we wait to find out more about all those stories and, of course, more about Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) and how exactly he came into possession of the Darksaber, Disney has offered up fresh images of the heroes who will be facing off against Gideon in the season to come this October 30, 2020. Let's take a look at Mando, The Child, Cara Dune (Gina Carano), and Greef Karga (Carl Weathers).

The full clan of The Mandalorian so far

Both Cara Dune and Greef Karga have strafed in and out of Mando's adventures. Dune, a former Alderaanian shock trooper living a mercenary life has largely been in Mando's corner, even during times she didn't want to be. She's got a chip on her shoulder against the Empire (her entire planet was destroyed by them, after all) and that drives her desire to support Mando and the Child. She was the one who believed that Mando and Baby Yoda need and should support each other.

Meanwhile, Greef Karga has been a lot less reliable. Yes, he was the one who put Mando on the bounty that started this whole mess in the first place, but that doesn't mean Karga and Mando are always on the same wavelength. Quite the opposite — Karga even mounts an assault against Mando at one point. In the end, though, Karga, just like Dune, winds up risking life and limb to protect Mando and the Child.

Both characters will return in The Mandalorian season 2, and they may both be in the cross hairs of Moff Gideon even before Mando is.

These nice high-resolution images of all our heroes so far suggests that, at the very least, they'll probably get the chance to take a shower and wash their clothes. At least we hope that's what these images mean. See below for the full images of Mando and the Child.

Hopefully this entire team will be continuing their journey across the galaxy in search of Baby Yoda's people. The Mandalorian season 2 streams on Disney+ beginning October 30, 2020.
