Game Of Thrones' Sophie Turner Says Sansa Stark Isn't Pregnant
It only took a few errant wrinkles in Sansa Stark's dress to spark a Game of Thrones fan theory that would have massive implications for the future of Westeros. But actress Sophie Turner single-handedly shot those rumors down.
In the season's penultimate episode, the eldest Stark daughter confronts Ramsay Bolton (her former husband and the bane of her existence) as he's tied to a chair before she feeds him alive to his own blood-thirsty dogs. But before that, Ramsay tells her, "You can't kill me, I'm part of you now." Pair this with a rumor that began two months before the season premiere when promotional photos appeared to depict Sansa with a baby bump. Fans quickly pieced it together: Sansa could be pregnant with the child of a madman.
But Turner addressed Bolton's mysterious line in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "I think some people have taken [his words] very literally, thinking that she might be pregnant. Personally, I think it's more figurative, especially because months and months have gone on and Sansa really hasn't developed a baby belly. So I think he means he's going to forever be imprinted on her in a way that he's done such a terrible thing to her. He's taken something of hers that's so precious. I think he believes that will always be a part of her, but I think he underestimates just how strong she is, and just how easily she can forget him. Now that she's killed him she can forget him, and she can move on with her life."
