The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel S5 Trailer: Fans Are Quick To Notice Lenny's Absence
Being a professional comedian sometimes isn't all laughs and giggles, and even when one makes an impact, it still isn't smooth sailing. The ending of Season 4 of "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" is far from easy for Midge Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan), who suffers some decidedly unfunny career speed bumps. Luckily, the legendary comedian Lenny Bruce (Luke Kirby) provides aid, offering Midge stern advice and the reassuring admonishment for poor decisions.
The trailer for Season 5 picks up immediately after the events of the previous season, with Midge still focusing on an appearance on "The Gordon Ford Show," which she believes will act as a springboard to national spotlight. As the trailer progresses, Midge's manager Susie Myerson (Alex Borstein) comments on how Midge will soon be a star, but her father, Abe Weissman(Tony Shalhoub), reminds her that anybody who achieved greatness has never been happy.
