Who Plays Amnesty Officer M34 In The Mandalorian Chapter 19?

The third season of "The Mandalorian" is chock full of well-hidden easter eggs, stunning revelations, and unexpected twists. But the series also introduces several intriguing characters along the way, including the Amnesty Officers from "Chapter 19: The Convert," and after watching the entry, while his appearance may have been brief, some fans may be interested to know who plays the character of M34.

While it may not be one of the highest-rated episodes of "The Mandalorian" by IMDb's standards, the third episode of Season 3 was an eye-opening affair, to say the least, and finally gave fans a glimpse of what happened to those that served in the Empire after it had fallen. Doctor Pershing (Omid Abtahi) and Moff Gideon's (Giancarlo Esposito) Comms Officer, aka G68 (Katy M. O'Bryan), both make comebacks on the show as members of the New Republic's rehabilitation initiative. But they aren't the only ones from the program. Several other individuals are seen in the entry toasting to their new life outside their housing complex and reminiscing about the few good things they remember about their time in the Empire. Among them is Amnesty Officer M34.

The person who plays M34 is a talented and dedicated actor that goes by the name of Matthew Bellows, and if fans think he looks familiar, there is a pretty good reason why.

Amnesty Officer M34 has been a prolific player on the small screen

Before Matthew Bellows took on the role of Amnesty Officer M34, he accomplished a lot in the realm of acting and has been adding credits to his work history in the industry since 2005. In that time has made his way onto some pretty substantial productions in various roles. On the big screen, titles like "The Gray Man," "Captain Marvel," and "Hereditary" are listed on his resume, but where he seems to truly excel is the small screen. Several popular shows have had Bellows's name on their roster, including "New Amsterdam," "Snowfall," "FBI: International," "NCIS: Los Angeles," "NCIS, "Macgyver," and so many more.

Jumping around from project to project like the actor has been doing for many years seems daunting, but Bellows loves the challenge of it all and is always ready for the next gig. "I'd say allowing myself to be ready and relaxed simultaneously," the actor said in an interview with FilmandTVNow.com. "Meaning, you're always on your toes awaiting schedules and scripts and chasing down and creating new opportunities. Being ready to make the puzzle pieces fit, often with short notice and then needing to deliver the best performance you can as well, is wacky a balancing act."

That attitude has served him well and ultimately landed him the gig of M34, which he was very happy to take on, according to a post on his Instagram. "Happy to join the Star Wars Universe in The Mandalorian. Many thanks to the many amazing people who support and believe and create." Hopefully, this isn't the last we have seen of Bellows's Amnesty Officer on the Disney+ series.
