Transformers: Rise Of The Beast Super Bowl Trailer: Pete Davidson's Mirage Voice Revealed

Ever since it was first announced that Pete Davidson would be lending his voice to Autobot Mirage in the upcoming "Transformers: Rise of the Beast," speculation about what voice the actor might use for the character has flown about at a feverish pace. Would it be something comparable to the laconic mirth of his "Saturday Night Live" tenure? Or more in the vein of the understated dramedian we saw in "The King of Staten Island"? Or would he be developing a new voice to embody the Cybertronian hero? Fans can hear Davidson's Mirage in all his metallic glory with the premiere of the "Rise of the Beast" Super Bowl spot.

Mirage is making a big screen appearance in "Rise" as a Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.8 when in car mode, with Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback heading up the human portion of the cast. In addition to Davidson, other actors voicing Autobots and Decepticons include Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal, Peter Dinklage as Scourge, Michelle Yeoh as Airazor, and the great Peter Cullen in his signature role as Autobot leader Optimus Prime. Interestingly, the recent Super Bowl spot is focused primarily on Davidson's Mirage.

Mirage makes a big screen splash in a 1990s-set adventure

In addition to our first taste of Pete Davidson's voice in the role of Autobot Mirage, the new "Big Game Spot" for "Transformers: Rise of the Beast" presented by Porsche also promises some pretty ambitious thrills in the YouTube description: "Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a '90s globetrotting adventure and introduce the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons."

So not only do we have a few new Transformers lines making their big screen debuts in the film, but it's apparently a nostalgic '90s throwback setting as well. You'll be able to see Mirage in action along with the rest of the Transformers, Beasts, and otherwise, when "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" hits theaters on June 9, 2023.
