The Blue Bloods Cast Is In Agreement On Who Makes The Most Mistakes

"Blue Bloods" has cemented itself as a juggernaut in the realm of network television. First airing in 2010, the police procedural has remained a regular part of CBS' programming for over a decade, dominating the Friday night slot. With hundreds of episodes to its name, the show has kept viewers on the edge of their seats for a long time, and it shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.

Part of that longevity comes down to the series investing in solid characters, as Tom Selleck told Entertainment Tonight: "It's hard to say you're gonna go 13 seasons and we're approaching 300 episodes, but I've always thought the show had enormous potential because there's police work but it was a character-driven show."

However, more than maintaining the audience's attention, the cast members themselves have to be willing to invest in a show for that long. No doubt there have been challenges, but it's clear from the way the cast interacts with one another that they have a blast working on "Blue Bloods." All you need to do is watch some blooper reels to see how much fun they're having despite the dour subject matter — and the cast seems in agreement as to who messes up takes the most often.

Donnie Wahlberg is the king of bloopers

Plenty of blooper reels from "Blue Bloods" can be found around YouTube, and there's nothing funnier than watching the actors try to say something serious before flubbing a line or doing something silly. After watching a few reels, it's clear everyone messes up occasionally, which is to be expected. But there's one face who pops up time and time again, which is why it shouldn't come as a surprise to learn who the other actors think is the biggest clown on set.

When the subject of bloopers came up during that same Entertainment Tonight interview, Tom Selleck didn't waste any time naming Donnie Wahlberg as the silliest among the cast. He stated, "Oh, that's Donnie. He's kind of the king of them." Wahlberg himself backed up this assertion: "I gotta be in the top two! It's pretty equal but I think I do try to have fun."

It all seems in line with Wahlberg's character, Danny Reagan, too. He's been known to joke around repeatedly while on the job, indulging in a little black humor — for example, in Season 3's "Inside Jobs," when Danny poses with a dead rat and proclaims, "Say cheese!" After 13 seasons of dealing with dark material, it's only right the cast gets a chance to let loose once in a while — even if mostly behind the scenes.
