Avengers: Infinity War IMAX Poster Features Special Easter Eggs
Marvel has unveiled a gorgeous-looking Avengers: Infinity War IMAX poster, packed not only with essentially every major Marvel Cinematic Universe character, but also with a few special Easter eggs.
The poster, shared exclusively by Empire, features four IMAX logos hidden amongst the heroes, which all converge around a glowing white Avengers logo in the center of the poster. Marvel slipped these secret references into this new one-sheet to commemorate the fact that Avengers: Infinity War is the first Hollywood film shot entirely with IMAX cameras.
Not included in the poster are, unsurprisingly, Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye and Paul Rudd's Ant-Man. Hawkeye's absence from the Avengers: Infinity War marketing cycle has become something of a running gag amongst fans, and really, at this point, we've essentially resigned to the notion that we won't see the arrow-flinging marksman until the movie is released. Fingers crossed that Marvel at least has a solid reason for keeping Hawkeye in the shadows.

The IMAX version of Avengers: Infinity War — directed by the Russo Brothers, who previously implemented the ALEXA IMAX 65mm camera for the outrageous airport rumble sequence in Captain America: Civil War — will feature vertically expanded frames, greater size and higher resolution compared to standard theatrical presentations, and up to 26 percent more screen space. All the better for watching Earth's Mightiest Heroes best Thanos once and for all, right?
Avengers: Infinity War will arrive in theaters (in IMAX, IMAX 3D, Digital 3D, and a few other formats) on April 27.
