Watch Graphic Footage Of Tom Cruise Injured While Filming Mission: Impossible 6

It costs a lot to get Tom Cruise in your movie, but you're saving money on a stuntman.

Back in August, Cruise broke his ankle on the set of Mission: Impossible — Fallout, putting him out of action until this month. While production has resumed, Cruise and co-stars Rebecca Ferguson, Henry Cavill, and Simon Pegg stopped by The Graham Norton Show and watched some graphic footage of the stunt. You can check it out in the video above.

"I'm wearing two wires," Cruise said while setting up the clips that show him leaping from one building to another. "They're basically just safety wires because I go at a full tilt and I'm sprinting as hard as I can and I hit the side of the wall and that's the stunt." However, he said he knew he broke his ankle as soon as he hit the second building.

From one closeup angle, we can see how severe the injury really was, and from another, we see Cruise finish the scene even though he instantly knew the ankle was broken. "I didn't want to do it again," he said. But director Christopher McQuarrie apparently liked the shot and two angles from the accident are in the movie.

As for the recovery, Cruise said, "It's still broken, but I'm doing well."

Although production was delayed, Paramount didn't change the release date and the movie is still slated to hit theaters on July 27. Cruise shared an epic photo of the scene on Instagram. Take a look below.
