The Terror Trailer Reveals Ridley Scott's New AMC Series

Ridley Scott has a new series coming to AMC and it definitely looks chilling.

AMC released a trailer for the series premiere of The Terror, an adaptation of Dan Simmons' cult novel about a series of horrific incidents that revolved around the Royal Navy and their first exploration of the Arctic's Northwest Passage.

The trailer gives a good look at Jared Harris (The Crown) and Game of Thrones alumni Ciaran Hinds (Justice League) and Tobias Menzies (Outlander), who look like they could use some Snuggies in the 10-episode series.

Here's the official synopsis: "Inspired by a true story, The Terror, from executive producers Ridley Scott, David Kajganich, and Soo Hugh, takes viewers on a harrowing journey. The story centers on the Royal Navy's perilous voyage into uncharted territory as the crew attempts to discover the Northwest Passage. Faced with treacherous conditions, limited resources, dwindling hope, and fear of the unknown, the crew is pushed to the brink of extinction. Frozen, isolated, and stuck at the end of the earth, The Terror highlights all that can go wrong when a group of men, desperate to survive, struggle not only with the elements, but with each other."

Scott is no stranger to TV. He's a producer on FX's Taboo, Amazon's Jean-Claude Van Johnson and the CBS All Access series The Good Fight, and he served as an executive producer on Amazon's The Man in the High Castle and the CBS series The Good Wife.

The Terror will arrive with a two-hour premiere on March 26.
