The Flash Trailer Puts Barry On Trial For Murder

Things are definitely getting real for Barry Allen on The Flash.

The CW unveiled a new trailer for the midseason premiere of the DC series, and it looks like Barry (Grant Gustin) will spend a lot of time in a very different kind of suit.

In "The Trial of the Flash," Barry must clear his name after being accused of murdering Clifford DeVoe. Of course, Barry didn't really kill him. He just appeared on the scene and was framed. And DeVoe isn't even dead; he found a way into the body of Caitlin's new love interest, and that puts Team Flash in a precarious position. It's also interesting that Barry is now on trial for a crime he didn't commit, just like his father was.

The episode features Mark Valley (Human Target) as Anton Slater, the lawyer prosecuting Barry opposite Cecile Horton (Danielle Nicolet).

The Flash returns to The CW on Jan. 16.
