Alexander Skarsgard, Randall Park Join Seth Rogen's Flarsky

Seth Rogen is filling out the cast of his upcoming comedy Flarsky, with Big Little Lies' Alexander Skarsgard and Fresh Off the Boat's Randall Park both set to join in on the fun. (via The Hollywood Reporter) The movie, which co-stars Charlize Theron, is set to be directed by Warm Bodies' Jonathan Levine based on a Black List script by Dan Sterling (The Interview).

The film stars Rogen as an out of work journalist named Fred Flarsky who, constantly dealing with his own bad luck and self-destructive ways, decides that he's going to finally go after his former childhood babysitter (and crush), played by Theron. The only problem? She has since become one of the most powerful and unattainable women in the world.

Skarsgard, who is coming off an Emmy win for the HBO miniseries Big Little Lies, is set to play the "very handsome" prime minister of Canada. The actor, who is also known for his roles in True Blood, Battleship, and The Legend of Tarzan, is next set to appear in the Netflix films Hold the Dark and Mute, and also has parts in the thriller Fever Heart, the war drama The Aftermath, the drama The Hummingbird Project, and the action film The Kill Team.

Park will play Flarsky's boss at the newspaper. This isn't the first time that the actor has worked with Rogen– he previously appeared in his film The Interview, and can be seen with him in the upcoming The Disaster Artist. Park, who is also known for Veep, Trainwreck, The House, Snatched, Office Christmas Party, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, and The Mindy Project, will join the MCU in next year's Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Rogen is set to produce Flarsky alongside Evan Goldberg and James Weaver of Point Grey, with Alex McAtee overseeing. Theron will also produce through Denver and Delilah, alongside Beth Kono and A.J. Dix. Sterling will be an executive producer through Good Universe alongside Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake, while Erin Westerman will oversee for the company. Production on the film is currently underway in Montreal.

Andy Serkis, Ravi Patel, and June Diane Raphael also star in Flarsky, which will hit theaters on Feb. 8, 2019.
