Tom Holland Broke His Nose For The Third Time On The Set Of Chaos Walking

Tom Holland—a professional actor, not an MMA fighter, SWAT team member, or soldier of fortune—broke his nose again.

The actor revealed the injury via an Instagram story, notching his third broken nose at the age of 21. Either Spider-Man can't see straight, or somebody in Hollywood just has it out for him.

The incident occurred near the end of production on Chaos Walking, the upcoming Doug Liman-directed adaptation of Patrick Ness' young adult novel that also stars Daisy Ridley, Mads Mikkelsen, and David Oyelowo. Take a look at the damage for yourself in the video below.

"Who said acting was easy, huh?" Holland said in the video. "Broken nose number three. What a way to finish a movie."

Regardless of the nasty-looking injury, the actor was all smiles in the video, holding a frozen bag against his head to numb the pain. Whatever it was that hit Holland this time, it looks like it got him right between the eyes.

Previously, Holland cracked his nose shooting the 2016 movie The Lost City of Z, and smashed it up just months ago as well, also on the set of Chaos Walking

Being a movie star, you'd think Holland would be a little more protective of that valuable schnozz he's got. Three broken noses! In baseball, that's an out. That nose would be off the field. Perhaps Holland is looking forward to a late-career shift to character acting when his nose gets permanently twisted 90 degrees leftward as a result of break number 37.

Prior to the release of Chaos Walking, Holland will reprise his role as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe team-up Avengers: Infinity War, and he also has a role in the currently-adrift Weinstein Company-produced movie The Current War, which will supposedly see release at some point in 2018

He's also slated to play the lead role of Nathan Drake in the upcoming movie adaptation of the video game series Uncharted, a globe-trotting Indiana Jones-esque adventure story that, at this rate, has a pretty good chance of being the project that destroys his nose once and for all.

Assuming Holland survives, Chaos Walking is set to arrive in theaters on March 1, 2019.
