Baskets Season 3 Teaser, Premiere Date Revealed

Baskets season 3 will truly be a family affair.

FX revealed a new teaser for the acclaimed comedy series starring Zach Galifianakis and Louie Anderson, and also announced when we can expect the new season.

Galifianakis co-created the show with Louis C.K. and Jonathan Krisel (Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!), and it centers on Chip Baskets (Galifianakis), a man who studied at a prestigious clowning school in Paris but is stuck working at a local rodeo in California. A lot has happened since the first season, but that's the basic premise.

This season, Christine (Anderson) becomes president and CEO of the new family business, Baskets Family Rodeo, even though she's never even seen a rodeo before. It'll be the first time Chip has had a full-time job since his time at Arby's, but he's never been much for structure. Meanwhile, his twin brother Dale (also Galifianakis) has experience running a business, but he doesn't exactly instill confidence in his employees or family members.

Galifianakis earned his first Emmy nomination for the series this year, and Anderson has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor two years in a row. He won for his performance as the Baskets matriarch in 2016. Matha Kelly also returns as Martha, the insurance agent who is Chip's only friend, despite the way he treats her.

If you haven't seen Baskets, you've got time to catch up before season 3, and you definitely should. It premieres on FX on January 23, 2018.
