Gerard Butler Rules The Streets In Den Of Thieves Trailer

Although Gerard Butler's Geostorm didn't exactly set the world on fire, he's not going to let that stop him.

Check out the first trailer for Den of Thieves, the upcoming heist thriller starring Butler along with 50 Cent (Spy, Power), Pablo Schreiber (The Manchurian Candidate, 13 Hours), and O'Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton, Ingrid Goes West).

Sort of like the 1995 classic Heat, the movie follows both the elite unit of the L.A. County Sheriff's Department and some of the state's most successful bank robbers as the crew of outlaws plan a nearly impossible heist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Los Angeles.

Written and directed by Christian Gudegast (London Has Fallen), Den of Thieves will hit theaters on Jan. 19, 2018. At the very least, it has to do better than Geostorm, which is expected to lose upwards of $100 million after an underwhelming opening weekend.
