Jackie Chan wants vengeance in The Foreigner trailer

Jackie Chan is back, and he's more serious than ever.

STX Entertainment released the final trailer for The Foreigner, the upcoming action thriller starring Chan and Pierce Brosnan.

Based on the novel The Chinaman by Stephen Leather, the movie follows a London businessman named Quan (Chan) who has a long-buried past that comes back to the surface after his teenage daughter, the only member of his family who remains, is killed in a senseless act of politically motivated terrorism. Quan goes on a relentless search for the terrorists and ends up in a dangerous conflict with a British government official (Brosnan), but his own past may hold the clues to the identities of the killers.

Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, Green Lantern) helmed the movie, which marks the first time Brosnan has re-teamed with the director since they collaborated on GoldenEye in 1995.

Chan also produced The Foreigner, which will be released Oct. 13. Meanwhile, take a look at more movies we can't wait to see this fall.
