Black Mirror Season 4 Teaser, Episode Titles Released

Six new stories from the tech-focused anthology series Black Mirror are on their way from Netflix, and you can watch the teaser trailer now.

Sometimes satire, sometimes comic, and other times pure horror, Black Mirror is a Twilight Zone for the modern era, and these six new episodes look primed to push the envelope farther than anything that's come before in the series.

The teaser, barely a minute long, shows the episode titles for the upcoming season alongside brief clips from each show, but even those short segments are enough to give us some idea of where this iteration of the series is going. There's "USS Callister", which appears to be a far-future take on a Star Trek-styled story—"appears" probably being the most important word, here. Then there's "Metalhead", which looks to be a man vs. machine chase sequence filmed in black and white. The others look relatively modern while still being suitably cryptic and unpredictable, which is probably for the best—having these stories wash over you after going in knowing nothing is part of the fun, after all.

We can't wait for these new episodes to roll out, but all the teaser promises for now is that the episodes are coming soon. All of them are written by Charlie Brooker, except for "USS Callister", which was written with an assist from William Bridges, who co-wrote the season 3 episode "Shut Up and Dance."
